I Love You, Beth Cooper review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:20 (A review of I Love You, Beth Cooper)I found it pretty cool the way Chris Columbus knew dealing with cliches. The movie while it has very funny scenes, and has nostalgic scenes, very well made. For real, for me the film is a tribute to the great movies of the afternoon session of the the 80's. The aesthetic is the same, the common situations. Instead of the current cliché is that in high school musical movie, the guy made a movie to remember the 80's, has something better than this?

Havoc review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:19 (A review of Havoc)I liked the way it approaches adolescence, young rich, curious and inconclusive. Interesting portrait of the family trying to cover up the small "crimes" of the sons, because for that there is a single point of view that is of their own children. It's interesting that movies like this, with no great artistic value, which becomes more interesting is to analyze the perception that Americans have of Latins. They live in ghettos, are barbaric and attract attention and interest of the poor little rich girls. The boredom, when knocks on their door, the way is to search fun with these "strange creatures". The personal dramas of the two girls seem funny... Thankfully, Hathaway was able to overcome in the movie and did a really good work!

Dancer in the Dark review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:19 (A review of Dancer in the Dark)Lars von Trier never fails to impress and distress in his films. Dogville, Antichrist, Manderlay and Dancing In The Dark, which this one is his most gripping work. Situated in a United States built in the middle of England, since the director refuses to ride a plane, but compensates by rebuilding the spirit of the country and its people with pesonal perfection, the film tells the story of the sweet and innocent Selma, suffering from a disease that will leave her blind and that by being hereditary, then began to affect his beloved son Gene. Despite being in immigrant status, work hard in a factory, living in a small trailer for the properties of a couple and have to struggle to save money for an operation for her son, who refuses to reveal, even tense moments in the film, Selma with her spirit always remains light and dreamy and outrageously good throughout the movie, a character without becoming silly or annoying, but incredibly exciting. After committing a crime is intention, Selma sees everything so that struggled to escape her control, but still insists her goal of helping her son and her good behavior not to harm anyone. After the event climax, all sequences become distressing and depressing, in placing side by side with the pain of the character and causing outrage, anger and absolute sadness in particular at the crime scene and the final sequence. The few, crucial musical moments, are very similar to the work of Björk, a somewhat surreal atmosphere, which take place in the mind of Selma, and act as a form of escapism from the harsh realities it faces. The acting is another highlight for the movie. Björk surprised with an interpretation intense and moving every second of the film, which unfortunately wasn’t blessed with a golden globe, Catherine Deneuve also as the eternal best friend who is always available to help Selma and all the various characters, such as Jeff shy, passionate, and Houston couple, all enchanted with simple interpretations, but deep, in a film equally profound, simple and fantastic.

Brothers review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:18 (A review of Brothers)I love the psychological side of warfare destroyer... how the mind and soul of those who back from the horror of the battlefield gets so hurt that it loses meaning, value, or family or life itself. So I loved the movie because it pulled me the drama suffered by American heroes. The performances are sensational, ALL, from the little girls that gave relief to the melancholy mood of the film, going by his father, stepmother, who took good care of their roles while supporting and especially the trio who gave a show of emotion Natalie Portman Jake Gyllenhaal and Tobey Maguire.

Jarhead review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:18 (A review of Jarhead)Sam Mendes has made a precious movie about the war in Iraq showing the side that nobody had curiosity to deepen and that had everything be tedious and boring. The film has an absurd psychological strength, makes us think of as human enough to extremes when it comes to war, how the values change significantly and the life that never makes it all erased. Great movie and worth seeing.

The Crazies review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:17 (A review of The Crazies )Entertainment with style! For those who think zombie movies are just for fun, here is an example of the genre also includes aesthetic sophistication and can get rid of superficiality. I expected much less, I was pleasantly surprised by the embellishments added to the tension, horror, grief and a great script. Some parts are a bit predictable but it's still a really movie breathtaking. Recommended.

Proof review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:17 (A review of Proof)Great actors in a movie out of standard due to its excellent script, where Mathematics is the relation that binds the peculiar characters of the plot. Although I am suspect to say because Mathematics is my least exact science! I recommend it though! The main three characters did a spectacular job with the script which has been given to them. "The future of cold is infinite. The future of heat is the future of cold".

October Sky (1999) review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:16 (A review of October Sky (1999))And one more time at all, watching without knowing that it was based on a true story. The story is very beautiful, despite overcoming the prejudices and limitations they had at the time, beyond the relationship between father and son that he shows in a way pretty intense. I was impressed with the performance of Jake aged at 19, won me over. And priceless the first scene of Jake Gyllenhaal and Chad Lindberg in the car listening to Jailhouse Rock by Elvis! Great movie, it's gripping and fun at the same time... and why not, it is also stimulating, encouraging. Well worth seeing!

The Tourist review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:16 (A review of The Tourist)A chilly movie, not by the slowly scenes, silent but for being merely expository and not enfolding.
And even with such predictability, I couldn’t even catch a lot while I watched. The plot doesn’t involves that much, the couple didn’t care. Worth much by Johnny Depp, the gorgeous scenes in Paris and Venice and some insights that I realized it when the story ended and I was wondering what I had seen. Anyway, it is worthwhile to spend time.

For the Bible Tells Me So review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:16 (A review of For the Bible Tells Me So)Love people, love up anything. This type of documentary is very interesting because it comes from and superimposed on those who translate the Bible in their own way, everything condemning homosexuality, an abomination. The world needs information and destruction of common sense which, they (religious-capitalists who were shown in the documentary), these traditionalists - shit, that shit do not defend unless the millions who make up the poor people without structure psychological or think enough to say “no” - are words of God. I believe even if I don’t believe in God, all my soul that God does not kill, judge, condemn you for your color, religion, sex or sexuality.
