Mr. Bean's Holiday review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:15 (A review of Mr. Bean's Holiday)I always liked Rowan Atkinson with his mimic mood (despite statements in the films) simply priceless, another movie that I am well pleased with Rowan’s “Johnny English.” Mr. Bean is still a modern Chaplin. He makes anyone laugh without giving a single word. And the output movie so it doesn’t need to talk is a balcony of the master, make the plot unfold in another country, for France, where he doesn’t know a word. Very good in that terms.

Sucker Punch review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:13 (A review of Sucker Punch)A pretty good movie, in my opinion. Visually very interesting and musically engaging! The steam punk looks dark and was very well done. The animations and effects were great! A mix of elements that I personally love it! Japan with its feudal warriors, orcs and dragons, robots, WWII ... I loved the references. The music choice was perfect. I can not stop listening! And Emily Browning really can sing! I loved the version of Sweet Dreams at the beginning! However, the film also has several drawbacks... First, the performances, just say it was a little disappointing, the girls could have had more charisma. I didn't found so captivating. But surely, Carla Gugino and Oscar Isaac were great! The script is weak, could have been much better handled, but it seems that the focus of the film was in fact the action. It even tries to pass a moral interesting, but it seemed that only remembered it at the beginning and end of the movie. Everything is a bit exaggerated and even! And the fights seemed like real games! But I think it will its acceptance of the film. After all, it all goes through the mind of Babydoll, so anything can happen. Ultimately, I think it's worth seeing if you like the theme. There is not an excellent script, but an action is really nice to watch.

Perfume: The Story of a Murderer review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:13 (A review of Perfume: The Story of a Murderer)The movie, of course, is a romanticized version, and even a little imaginative from the book, which is gross, greedy, nasty and wonderful. The most demanding, observing every detail of the adjustments, you might not like this. I loved it. Even after the book that blew me away, I could watch this movie and find extremely beautiful. With a gripping story, takes you on a visual journey to there and gives us a rich history of this man, Grenouille. Ben Whishaw fucking perfect on paper. The scene of the "execution" it is one of the craziest I've ever seen. Hard to take your eyes off the television.

Battle: Los Angeles review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:12 (A review of Battle: Los Angeles)It is really worthy for the special effects, the non-stop action and the idea is that as cliché. A super blockbuster! The sameness may be present in the roadmap showing every soldier, his bravery and patriotism, as always ... blah blah blah but you know what? It never hurts to watch! It is the vision of the director on YOUR choice to show some LA soldiers before a battle towards ET's. Or you guys were expecting a 10 hour film which show various views the world and your soldiers? The scenes, photographs, takes, these have a lot of CG is visually amazing! Brilliant! The Americans know how to show patriotism, unity, emotion, technology, performance and special effects. Great actors and a good choice to end. My "Four Thumbs Ups" by the art of the blockbuster film! Pure fun and wonder!

Hotel Rwanda (2004) review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:12 (A review of Hotel Rwanda (2004))Really good! Certainly a film that won't be easily forgotten! If dealing with a real history is very shocking and, unfortunately, still present, because many countries still suffer similar rebellions, as we see in the news about what happened recently in Egypt, and Libya is booming! "Why are people so cruel?" I would like to know too. But there are also people willing to help! I think this campaign is that the world needs, people have to react! Do what they can! I think the actors although aren't well known (apart from Nick Nolte) surprise! I was glad to see that Americans don't get to save everybody, as in several war movies! Very true what the reporter talks about the people watching the news and say "Oh, my God, how awful" and continue to dine with their families! Is what we do! But I think it might be different if anything awaken within us to show that we can indeed act. A film about violence, but also about hope, which I think everyone should see!

The Clinic review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:12 (A review of The Clinic)I expected this movie to come out for download since last year, more because of Tabrett Bethell than proposed by the film itself, although the trailer has piqued my interest. I can say it exceeded my expectations. Performance evaluation good of Tabrett and also Andy Withfield. The plot was great, and surprised, and the soundtrack though simple fits well in the scenes. Among the negative points, I didn't like the end which has been given for Cameron. I didn't expect nor want a happy ending, not to be predictable, but I think they could have explored a little more character who showed so much grit. The accident was kind of "fire-climax" Another failure was the construction of the tension of some scenes that were supposed to be tense but were a bit raw. But apart from these two points, moreover consider the film as a whole very good experience.

Paper Man (2009) review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:11 (A review of Paper Man (2009))There were moments that just sparked an amazing will to stop the movie, with no connections situations, dialogues, and sometimes appalling "abnormalities" narrated carelessly (Ryan Reynolds's character is a super-hero and the protagonist's imaginary friend made by Jeff Daniels). But you know those rare cases where it is worth an hour of looking bad movie to be presented with a totally wonderful? That's exactly what happens in "Paper Man." The relationship between the characters of Jeff Daniels and Emma Stone (pride) becomes so sincere that transforms the story into a drama full of sensitivity. Just thought a pity that the couple Kieran Mulroney and Michele Mulroney have not demonstrated the necessary skill to develop a better structure of the script.

Atonement review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:11 (A review of Atonement)It can tells you how Joe Wright is talented. He directs with flair and sensitivity. A nice highlight for the sequence that takes us along the beaches and streets, a scene very exciting and sad at the same time, shows us a view of the war only a camera, a job very well done and accurate. It is an excellent film, great direction, beautiful photography, acting, soundtrack, everything is great in this movie. I recommend it!

Primal review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:10 (A review of Primal)Good surprise, I can tell it even is a decent movie but not good enough to be a big one or something spectacular, but it is a good hobby. The story is interesting, the actors are more or less, the female lead is the worst, the others can do their roles well, especially the "badass knows everything" and the "spineless nerd," which are the two characters more participatory in the film. The pace is good, things happen very fast and makeup is very good, has a more or less visual effects which doesn't disappoint only at the end of the film rolling in CGI scenes that were unnecessary and poorly made, could have avoided it. Nevertheless, it's a nice movie, worth a look but without great expectations.

Love & Other Drugs review
Posted : 13 years, 2 months ago on 31 August 2011 12:10 (A review of Love & Other Drugs)The movie has its charm there, even though the story is well water with sugar. When the story begins, we do not know exactly what direction it will take. She will talk about two people who decide to have sex without commitment? Will do a critique of the pharmaceutical industry? Give hope to those suffering from Parkinson's disease? Among these and other questions, only one certainty: Anne Hathaway plays very well. Can move from comic to tragic way sooo convincing. It is the star of the new decade. As the 80 were Michelle Pfeiffer, the 90 of the 2000 Julia Roberts and Angelina Jolie, as of now it's time to shine as Anne Hathaway's diva.
